  • Realization of an individual exhibition

Are you an Indigenous visual artist who would like to present your work in a curated solo exhibition? Would you like to curate a first exhibition with an emerging artist? We want to know about your work!

Successful applicants will exhibit at BACA’s Shé:kon Gallery at 5826 St-Hubert, in Tiohtiá:ke | Mooniyang | Montreal in 2022-2023. BACA pays the exhibition fees (fees for individual exhibitions – CARFAC scales), curatorial fees, transportation, set-up, publicity and communications. Please send your application with the following elements:

ARTISTS

  • A short biography – maximum 100 words
  • Your curriculum vitae
  • 5 to 10 images / video / sound / of your work
  • Your artist statement – maximum 100 words
  • Your exhibition / installation project (if applicable) – maximum 250 words

CURATORS

  • A short biography – maximum 100 words
  • Your curriculum vitae/li>
  • Your statement – maximum 100 words
  • Your curatorial project or proposition for an artist – maximum 250 words
